Using hair skills to help rebuild lives broken by trafficking, prostitution and extreme poverty

Our Mission

The Hair Project is a UK-based charity which is dedicated towards improving the lives of severely disadvantaged people using the art of hair cutting and styling as a springboard to self-improvement.

The Hair Project teaches hair dressing skills to help rebuild lives which have been broken by trafficking, prostitution and extreme poverty.

The Hair Project is a UK sponsored charity which is run entirely by unpaid volunteers, utilising hair skills as a catalyst to rebuild broken lives.

Where appropriate, and particularly in India, The Hair Project partners with local charities, businesses and individuals both to ensure success for the individual projects and to control infrastructure cost meaning donors’ funds are used to maximum efficiency.

They have given us hope.”
