FAQs
Do you have facilities to look after the
mental and physical health of the girls as well as giving them a new skill?
Yes our operating partner in India, Oasis, provides a range of health, education and counselling services to these young women allowing them to begin the often long march to full recovery.
How much of my donation will end up where it is really needed – on the ground in India?
The Charity is staffed with volunteers and its costs are very low. Consequently, a very large portion of any donation will directly benefit operations on the ground.
How has the Covid pandemic affected the
work of the charity?
Due to the need to self-isolate the work of the charity has been directly affected by the pandemic. It has however provided a time for reflection after a period of rapid expansion.
Are there any charities doing the same
type of work as The Hair Project and if so, how does The Hair Project differ?
There are smaller projects active in similar areas but we believe The Hair Project is unique due to the combination of its lean structure and the specialist skills provided by its partners, BA1 Hair and Oasis.
